Civil Engineering Supervisor jobs in Indiana
Civil Engineering Supervisor supervises a team of civil engineers who design and develop construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, and roads. Reviews and analyzes the design effectiveness and structural reliability of major projects. Being a Civil Engineering Supervisor ensures maintenance of equipment and adherence to safety prevention measures. Monitors personnel needs and schedules staff accordingly. Additionally, Civil Engineering Supervisor also responsible for preparing proposals, establishing completion dates and cost estimates, and evaluation results. Supervises inspections of aging or compromised structures and improvement projects. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Requires Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports to a manager. The Civil Engineering Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Civil Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assumes the responsibility of being the highest ranking administrative person in charge of the facility when other higher ranking administrators are not in house.
- Assesses, evaluates, intervenes on inpatient wound care needs of patients.
- Assists in the monthly scheduling process as needed. Determines adequate staffing coverage on the nursing units is maintained to the best level possible by assessing the number and level of personnel needed to provide quality patient care. Adjusts staffing and assignments appropriately by calling in or sending home staff as deemed necessary.
- Other duties as needed.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently licensed in the state of Indiana as an RN. Maintains this licensure and provides any licensure renewals or changes to Human Resources.
- For the Wound Care Specialist role, a master’s degree in nursing and wound certification is required.
- Must possess Basic Life Support certification or obtain prior to providing direct patient care. Maintains BLS certification per hospital policy.
- Must possess and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or be willing to obtain within reasonable time frame after hire.
- Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, Emotional support (S.T.A.B.L.E.) certification is desirable but not required.
