ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide (TKWW) is looking for an exceptional Chief of Staff to join our leadership team and play a crucial role in supporting the Company’s strategic vision. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, highly curious, and possess an insatiable drive for excellence.

You will work closely with our CEO and CFO to create operational excellence and drive strategic growth across the business. Working closely with both executives, the Chief of Staff will help facilitate the most important decisions for the company -- aligning key stakeholders including business unit leaders, the Executive team, and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate must be able to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information from various sources to provide data-driven insights and convincing recommendations, “connecting dots” to help teams across TKWW do their best work.

Like every role at TKWW, it will ultimately be what you make of it. Are you exceptionally well-organized? Do you enjoy diving into the details of data and processes to discover the hidden insights? Can you lead cross functional team meetings and present at the board/investor level? Would your colleagues describe you as smart, driven and passionate, with high EQ? Are you looking for a growth stage company and gain operational experience? If so, let’s chat.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead monthly business reviews, prepare for board meetings, facilitate occasional off-sites/on-sites, and oversee other elements of the Company’s “operating system”
    • Improve communication across all levels of the company – board/investor memos, all hands meetings, strategic milestones, etc. Condense complex business matters to a simple/digestible form that suits the intended audience, and advise on talking points for the CEO & CFO
    • Oversee special projects and initiatives that span multiple business lines and facilitate complex, cross-departmental discussions and decisions
    • Drive increased connectivity between Company Priorities, OKRs, monthly metrics, and resourcing
    • Act as a “swiss army knife” for the CEO and CFO, driving forward key projects and ad hoc requests, while acting as their representative in the room. Keep track of decisions, action items, owners, and timelines agreed to in meetings to drive accountability
    • Identify, implement, and maintain processes that improve TKWW’s ways of working

SUCCESSFUL CHIEF OF STAFF CANDIDATES HAVE:

    • BS/BA degree in a quantitative or business field, with an impressive track record of success
    • 4 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate tech, or venture capital, with significant exposure to executive audiences
    • Analytical and highly numerate; comfortable with large amounts of unstructured data
    • Strong organization skills
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - ability to clearly articulate business issues and recommend / synthesize solutions, while being tone-sensitive and concise
    • Ability to draw insights from unorganized information and help drive process improvements accordingly

IT’S A BONUS IF YOU HAVE:

    • Experience with data analytics or BI tools
    • Experience with financial analysis and forecasting
    • Experience with project management
    • Fluency in Spanish or other languages highly preferred
    • Demonstrated affinity for TKWW’s mission, vision, products and culture
