Job Summary: The Chief Inspector holds responsibility for inspection and quality control issues at all Airworthy Repair Stations. Total compliance of CFR 145 is the Chief lnspector's responsibility.
In addition, this position is responsible for directing, planning, laying out details of inspection standards, methods and procedures used by each repair station under the Airworthy managerial control in compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer's specifications, and recommendations.
General Duties:
- Maintain the Airworthy Repair Station Manual.
- Ensure that no individual is assigned to perform maintenance or inspection functions for which they do not have sufficient experience and/or training unless they are under the supervision of a qualified holder of a mechanic or repairman certificate in accordance with CFR part 43 and to ensure their proper training at the same time per the Airworthy Training Program requirements.
- Ensure all inspections are properly performed on all completed work and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by the repair station are properly executed prior to releasing the product for return to service.
- Maintain and keep current a file of pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations, specifications, type certification data sheets and Airworthiness Directives.
- Maintain constant contact and positive professional relationship with FAA personnel.
- Manage all inspectors for Airworthy.
- Responsible for all audits by the FAA, customers, and others C.A.S.E.
- Responsible for all technical data on all articles overhauled or repaired by the repair station are secured and kept current with the latest revisions by the respective department inspectors. This data will include the repair station's process specification for limited ratings, manufacturer's overhaul manuals, Service Bulletins, part specifications; related Federal Aviation Administration approved data and other technical data used by the Repair Station. In addition, assure that all military technical orders used in the overhaul and repair of components have been evaluated and approved by the FAA.
- Submit reports condition in accordance with CFR 145.
- Ensure proper inspections that determine the acceptability of all incoming material, including new parts, supplies and the airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed outside the repair station by contract are completed.
- Ensure that tagging and identification procedures are followed for all parts and components as outlined in this manual.
- Responsible for the Capabilities List being maintained and updated in accordance with CFR 145 and this manual.

Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business or technical related field or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and the desire to learn and grow.
- Aviation experience with at least one year in quality assurance function, preferably with a background as 5 years aircraft mechanic in a Repair Station environment.
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification (Preferred)
- Interpersonal skills with an emphasis on effective communication skills in both oral and written forms
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Well versed in airworthiness authorities’ regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to work under pressure and a high level of integrity.
- Must exhibit a high level of motivation, sense of urgency, attention to detail, energetic approach to job duties and requirements.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations
- Communication Proficiency, both written and oral.
- Problem Solving/Analysis.
- Project Management
- Experience in MS Office is a Plus
- Experience using an ERP System is a Plus;
