Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing an organization's overall financial policies. Provides strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Being a Chief Financial Officer ensures that proper financial controls are in place and that financial transactions support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable laws and regulations. Requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Chief Financial Officer may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief executive officer (CEO) or chief operating officer (COO). Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. Thorough knowledge of financial planning and budgeting for a health care facility. Also, knowledgeable about contracting, financial and accounting policy development in the health care field, billing, collections, and grant analysis.

Reliable transportation required
Bilingual ability in English and Spanish, Portuguese or Creole speaking abilities preferred
Cultural sensitivity necessary to work with a diverse patient and staff population required
Ability to work independently and collaboratively required
Knowledge of computers and electronic medical records required
