    About The Role

    The position is the executive IT leader for the Retirement Services line of business and critical in realizing business strategy through effective use and delivery of contemporary technology solutions embracing agile best practices in a complex enterprise environment. The right experienced and dynamical leader will be accountable for:

    • All aspects of IT supporting our group retirement business including relationship management, designing and building effective solutions to drive tangible business outcomes, efficiently managing spend and resources while ensuring we have an effective operating environment.
    • Working with executive leaders to shape business strategy and develop and refine a long-term technology roadmap that helps bring that strategy to life, including modernizing and future proofing our platform.
    • Introducing and leveraging contemporary technologies and strategies, including but not limited to enabling a connected ecosystem with APIs, improving costs and scalability with cloud, automating IT with dev ops, driving great experiences with data, and meeting customers where they are with mobile.
    • Engaging with customers and industry partners to help the firm influence the industry as well as prospective and current clients to leverage technology effectively.
    • Working with the L&R IT leadership team to embrace contemporary ways of working, attract and develop talent across the firm and leverage economies of scale and shared capabilities.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or proven record of experience.
    • Strong reputation and proven track record of driving change and embracing contemporary technology and ways of working in the industry.
    • 15 years of managerial/leadership position experience.
    • 20 years of experience in technology preferably as a CIO but also with a broad set of additional roles, especially software engineering.
    • Experience with designing and maturing a product aligned IT operating model.
    • Thought leadership and strategic mindset to drive business value.
    • Excellent skills in software development and design.
    • Proven success leading the full life cycle of technology change projects at scale.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to a variety of audiences.
