Chemical Technician determines the physical and chemical properties of compounds and materials using quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis. Performs a variety of chemical tests using instrumental methods and standard test equipment. Being a Chemical Technician prepares materials for laboratory examination and conducts quality, safety, and compliance assessments. Follows established SOPs. Additionally, Chemical Technician sets up and maintains lab equipment. Records and tabulates data and documents observations and results. Requires an associate degree in chemistry, science or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Chemical Technician works under moderate supervision. Education: Education in one of the following areas; Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Technician, Information Technology, or related work experience.
Travel: 0-10%
Physical Demands: This job will require working indoors in an air-conditioned data center. Must be able to stoop, stand, crouch, reach, bend, twist, climb a ladder and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted (supported lifting beyond 50lbs)
