Chemical Engineer jobs in Maine
Chemical Engineer conducts research and development projects involving the study of chemical reactions and material properties to innovate and develop new products or optimize existing products. Designs experiments and builds prototypes and models used to investigate and support the development of improved chemicals, materials, products, and manufacturing processes. Being a Chemical Engineer compiles and analyzes testing data. Presents research results used to estimate costs, establish performance standards, identify solutions, and facilitate processes. Additionally, Chemical Engineer maintains lab and plant safety procedures for chemical storage, handling, transport, and disposal. Complies with all safety and environmental regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Chemical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. **Job Overview:**
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. Weekends required, with potential for occasional weekday coverage.
**Responsibilities:**
- Ensure paperwork for loads is complete and accurate.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Monitor transportation activities.
- Monitor customer levels and make changes to dispatch as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch and other Plant activities.
- Monitor specified areas of the Plant every two hours.
**Experience:**
- Experience in transportation management or dispatching role a plus, but not required. GAC will provide all training required.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills to effectively coordinate logistics operations.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 28 per week
Schedule:
- Every weekend
