JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a strategic leader to strengthen and expand our new Change Management program. The Director of Change Management will be responsible for developing and executing change strategies that support ONEOK’s vision of providing solutions for a transforming energy future. This role is pivotal in building a high-performing team, promoting the value of change management to stakeholders, and strengthening ONEOK’s overall change capability. This leader will play a critical role in leading a team to solidly establish an organizational change management methodology and approach for large-scale initiatives and serve as a consultant for change across the enterprise. This role is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is relocation eligible. The work structure is hybrid; in office Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Job Profile Summary Direct and manage a team that will drive value by bringing employee-centered change assessments and activities to initiatives. Partner with senior and executive leadership on driving proactive change management practices throughout the organization and guide the vision of incorporating change resilience into our organization’s practices. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Vision and Strategy: Develop the vision, strategy, and operational plan for our newly-formed Change Management group. Create comprehensive change management strategies that will ensure the success of ONEOK’s goals, particularly in the context of acquisitions and integrations. Oversee the design of the change framework and processes to be used across the organization. M&A Integration: Lead change efforts during mergers and acquisitions to ensure smooth transitions and support the realization of expected benefits. Manage risks and address resistance effectively. Organizational Consulting: Advise executive leadership on change strategy methods and organizational change adoption to aid in building organizational change management competencies and capabilities to aid in realizing desired outcomes. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to align efforts with organizational objectives and to identify and understand potential risks and impact of changes on the organization. Work with leaders across the organization to find solutions to conflict and remove roadblocks to success. Change Capability: Support the development of change capability for key roles across the organization through training delivery, coaching, and mentoring. Develop and deliver programs to build change capability across the organization. Ensure all employees are equipped to handle change effectively. Portfolio Management: Monitor the enterprise portfolio of programs and advise senior leadership on methods for mitigating change fatigue and maximizing workforce effectiveness. Change Practitioner Team: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of change management professionals. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Equip the team to develop and foster change management awareness and training programs to ensure change management principles are understood and adopted. Communications Partnership: Build partnerships and collaborate with Corporate Communications to explore, identify and incorporate new communication techniques and options into change management strategies. Training Partnerships: Partner with the Organizational Development and Operational Training teams to explore, identify and incorporate new training material techniques into change management strategies. Metrics and Evaluation: Define success metrics and regularly assess the effectiveness of change management initiatives. Use data to drive improvements and demonstrate the impact on business outcomes. Education High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent. Work Experience Minimum of 7 years of experience in change management or project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience leading change management or project management teams. Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively with executive leaders. Experience with the energy industry pertaining to change management or project management preferred. Licenses and Certifications None required. Prosci’s Change Management Certification preferred.
