Ceramics Engineer develops manufacturing processes and equipment for converting ceramics into useful products. Tests various combinations of materials to create ceramics that that are durable and economical. Being a Ceramics Engineer researches and selects the appropriate hand and power tools to be used in the production process. Tests finished ceramics to ensure quality, consistency, and durability standards have been met according to specifications. Additionally, Ceramics Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Ceramics Engineer typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. This is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) from 8am – 4:30pm. The projected salary for this position ranges from $87,500 - $105,000 dependent on qualified years of experience, education, certifications/licenses, etc.


    The Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the design, analysis, and implementation of various engineering projects. Works closely with Senior Engineers assisting in the creation of engineering designs, conducting analyses, data processing, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgets. Additional responsibilities include tasks ranging from technical documentation and research to project coordination and modeling as well as developing estimates, tracking project costs, and implementing close out procedures. The Engineer will participate in project planning and execution by attending meetings, coordinating activities, developing project documentation and visiting job sites. Responsible for maintaining a commitment to ongoing professional development by staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices.


    Must Haves:

    • BS degree in civil or environmental engineering
    • Demonstrates the ability to understand and analyze data and reach sound technical conclusions in a timely manner.
    • Must possess the ability to work independently and solve complex engineering problems using sound judgment and education.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
