Works closely with hospital staff and physicians to implement standards for patient care that comply with all laws and regulations. Being a Cardiology Director ensures the department meets the current needs and addresses the future needs of patients by introducing new technologies, services, and procedures. This position does not require MD. Additionally, Cardiology Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to an executive. The Cardiology Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Cardiology Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Cardiology Technician- Cardiology Diagnostic
The Cardiology Technician works under the direction of the Non-Invasive Diagnostics Supervisor and the Service Line Administrator for The Heart Center. This position performs diagnostic testing procedures provided by the Non-Invasive Diagnostics Department; these testing procedures include (but are not limited to) EKG and Rhythm Strip, Holter and Zio Monitoring, and 30 Day Event Monitoring. This position directly supports the daily functions of the Cardiology Clinic with patient testing needs, as well as additional responsibilities within the outpatient and inpatient modalities.
