We are seeking a skilled Dining Room Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fine dining tasting menu restaurant at our top of the ski hill. This role is based in our 4 Diamond Resort. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Manage dining room staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers
- Ensure high-quality customer service standards are met and maintained
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality control
- Oversee reservations and seating arrangements
- Handle guest inquiries, comments, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Train and mentor dining room staff on service standards and procedures
- Monitor inventory levels of dining room supplies and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create menus for special events or promotions
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within fine dining or casual fine dining restaurant or hotel
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and POS systems
- Good understanding of wine is a definite asset
- Experience in catering or banquet operations is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle various guest situations tactfully
- Ability to manage shifts effectively and ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Strong team management skills to lead and motivate staff members
