Capacity Planning Supervisor leads a capacity planning team to plan and monitor an organization's operating limits and capacities. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to align with production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planning Supervisor identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders to understand future plans and develop responsive capacity forecasting. Additionally, Capacity Planning Supervisor utilizes production metrics and manufacturing research to develop insights on processes or equipment and recommend improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Capacity Planning Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Capacity Planning Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Production Planning Supervisor to join our team in Conover, NC OR Bruce, MS.
As a Production Planning Supervisor, you will :
Provide leadership in scheduling and sequencing of manufactured materials and optimization of work center constraints. Ensures continuity of supply of manufactured materials for assigned manufacturing site(s).
Manages inventory levels and allocation of manufactured materials according to customer demands and company objectives. Regularly reviews and understands network capacity requirements and capabilities to ensure customer demands are met.
Translates demand requirements into capacity requirements for production plants.
