Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture operates videotape machines, disk-based file servers, camera control units, studio cameras, video switchers, audio mixers and other equipment used in the broadcast of live and taped television programming. May be expected to maintain a variety of program/transmitter logs. Being a Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture may require an associate's degree or its equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Summary: The Television Technician works to support all aspects of studio, field production, and station operations. The Television Technicians bring technical experience to our Production team including running studio cameras, graphics, lighting, shading cameras or audio during the recording of Rhode Island PBS studio programming, as well as editing to provide high-quality production projects. Candidates with a background in technical operations, lighting, shooting and editing, or equivalent work experience are encouraged to apply.
