Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Controller at Laconia Country Club located in Laconia, NH. The Business Controller will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with business control, financial planning, business planning, and finance.

Qualifications

• The Laconia Country Club in Laconia, New Hampshire is seeking a full-time, year-round controller/business administrator to provide financial leadership and advice in support of the General Manager (Charlie Wheeler) and Board of Directors. Candidates should have a strong financial background, with experience in accounting, financial management, and accounting and general business management software. The candidate should have demonstrated the ability to successfully work in a management team. Responsibilities will include budgeting and budget to actual analysis, financial analysis (e.g., lease vs. buy of golf carts,) day-to-day financial accounting, preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, the detailed implementation of all aspects of country club management software capabilities (Point of Sale, event management, member accounting, and billing, etc.), implementing internal controls, and interacting with members with respect to their accounts. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for communications to members through newsletters, emails, and posting on internal electronic media. The position will report directly to the club’s General Manager (Charlie Wheeler) Preference will be given to candidates with a CPA or CMA designation.
