Full Job Description/Summary
This position is to perform in-depth elevator surveys, modernization surveys, maintenance inspections making note of items to be addressed. Write proposals. Write reports with regards to observations made in the field, recommendations for upgrades / modernization, description of equipment, etc. Reports include letters, VSA standard reports and specifications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with clients. Handle technical and other matters and field work, as assigned. Support others at meetings where technical and Code issues are discussed. Attend and participate in office scheduling and modernization meetings to help keep modernization and installations on track. Attend night meetings as necessary.
Provide estimates for repairs and modernizations as needed. Review and comment on invoices and proposals from elevator contractors and review scope of work as well as equipment in questions. Oversee Installation / Modernization projects as assigned. Make weekly or biweekly visits where applicable, reviewing submitting and drawings for Code and specification compliance, approving payments and witnessing tests.
Follow-up on all field related work to see that all installation and modernization's come to a timely completion and VSA continues its good reputation. Verify and determine elevator acceptance tests and punch lists. You may need to witness Annual and Five-year test when at sites for Modernization monitoring.
All paperwork, including time sheets, to be submitted on a timely basis. You will be responsible for email correspondence and phone calls.
