Business Systems Analysis Director directs all aspects of an organization's business systems. Plans and implements technological service strategies within a shared services environment to support business and user needs. Being a Business Systems Analysis Director acts as major liaison with other departments to identify the business system meets the enterprise's needs. Analyzes trends and uses complex data modeling to improve business performance. Additionally, Business Systems Analysis Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Systems Analysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Business Systems Analysis Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Job Description

    The Director of Business Systems is responsible for:

    • Engage with Executive Leadership: Understand their strategic plans for the company
    • Collaborating with other departments: Liaising with other departments to ensure the business systems meet the company's needs
    • Developing strategies: Creating enterprise integration strategies to improve collaboration and innovative operational solutions that deliver industry differentiating opportunities

    Managing teams:

    • Set Clear Goals: Clearly define the project objectives and ensure every team member understands their role and contribution towards achieving these goals.
    • Foster Communication: Establish open channels of communication within the team to encourage collaboration, idea sharing, and problem-solving.
    • Provide Resources: Equip the team with the necessary tools, technology, and support they need to effectively carry out their tasks.
    • Encourage Innovation: Foster a culture that values creativity and innovation, empowering team members to explore new ideas and solutions.
    • Monitor Progress: Regularly track the team's progress towards project milestones, identify any issues or bottlenecks early on, and address them promptly.
    • Support Growth: Provide opportunities for professional development and growth, such as training programs or mentorship, to help team members enhance their skills and expertise.
    • Foster a Positive Culture: Cultivate a positive work environment built on trust, respect, and camaraderie, where team members feel motivated and valued.
    • Analyzing objectives: Understanding business objectives and identifying technology solutions
    • Providing strategic decisions: Providing business case analysis, feasibility studies, and ROI projections to help management teams
    • Designing, implementing, and maintaining systems: Designing, implementing, and maintaining business systems in line with integration, automation, and privacy compliance

    Other responsibilities include:

    • Translating business processes into existing technologies
    • Developing innovative solutions
    • Planning, managing, coordinating, and implementing solutions that meet business requirements
    • Analyzing the usability and performance of newly developed applications
    • Managing projects and leading IT teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery within deadlines
    • Serving as the active leader of a core business system area
    • Working with multiple vendors/consultants and resources on the successful delivery of business system platforms

    Qualifications

    • The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of progressive service & IT experience.
    • 3 years' experience in a management/leadership capacity.
    • A strong customer service orientation, excellent verbal and written communication skills and analytical abilities are a must.
    • Strong project management, organizational and time management skills along with the demonstrated ability to lead a team of technical staff and work with Executive Management team are critical to the success in the role.
