Business Intelligence Director jobs in Mississippi
Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Director collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Makes resource allocation and staffing decisions. Additionally, Business Intelligence Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Intelligence Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Intelligence Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Fifteen years experience in developing BW solutions to extract data from SAP systems
for use in Business Intelligence. Experience in ABAP, Data Extractors, Data Model
Design, Query Building, and Process chains.
Fifteen years experience in developing BI reports. Experience with Business Objects,
Web Intelligence (WebI) BEX Queries.
Ten years experience working with an SAP operational system for a Public Sector
client.
Experience with Security including but not limited to: roles, privileges, and CMC.
Experience with BOE 4.3 SP2 and BW 7.5 SP21
Experience with Transparency reporting, including use of dashboards.
Experience with BASIS activities and Database (DB2) resources.
Experience with regular BI system health checks & subsequent action plans to improve
system performance & stability.
Experience with SAP and BOE system landscape upgrades, testing and deployment.
Knowledge with State of Mississippi (SOMS) MAGIC system included but not limited to
SOMS cash logic, contracts, grants, assets, and other customized processes.
Serve as liaison between BOE technical team and SAP functional teams.
Ten years experience in training / knowledge transfer to public sector employees from
entry level and above.
Experience with analysis and development activities to resolve root causes of incidents.
Experience with data validation.
