Business Development Supervisor identifies, evaluates, and pursues business opportunities with partners or potential customers. Coordinates and negotiates with other departments to implement marketing initiatives. Being a Business Development Supervisor is responsible for maintaining close relationship with existing clients. Acquires new customers, retains and expands existing customer relationships. Additionally, Business Development Supervisor develops sales of products and services by investigating and resolving customer problems, recommends modifications to the product/service line, and coordinates sales negotiations with appropriate personnel. Responsible for meeting sales volume and revenue goals and standards for activity, such as number of sales calls. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Development Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Development Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     PRIMARY DUTIES:

    • Assumes the responsibility of being the highest ranking administrative person in charge of the facility when other higher ranking administrators are not in house.
    • Assesses, evaluates, intervenes on inpatient wound care needs of patients.
    • Assists in the monthly scheduling process as needed. Determines adequate staffing coverage on the nursing units is maintained to the best level possible by assessing the number and level of personnel needed to provide quality patient care. Adjusts staffing and assignments appropriately by calling in or sending home staff as deemed necessary.
    • Other duties as needed.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Currently licensed in the state of Indiana as an RN. Maintains this licensure and provides any licensure renewals or changes to Human Resources.
    • For the Wound Care Specialist role, a master’s degree in nursing and wound certification is required.
    • Must possess Basic Life Support certification or obtain prior to providing direct patient care. Maintains BLS certification per hospital policy.
    • Must possess and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or be willing to obtain within reasonable time frame after hire.
    • Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, Emotional support (S.T.A.B.L.E.) certification is desirable but not required.
