Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to source, identify and deliver opportunities to create and/or enhance the profitability of Energy Transfer’s existing assets as well as activities that will grow the business into new geographies and product offerings. This includes capital projects, and customer relationship activity.
The position of Business Development Manager is a key member of Natural Gas Liquids and Refined Products (NGLs & RP) Commercial group. This position requires a proven leader with a strong business acumen, excellent communication, relationship-building skills, and a passion for growth.
This position is primarily responsible for their region strategy utilizing our competitive advantages in supply strength to grow our customer base and EBITDA, as well as identify new markets for growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage existing customer relationships including working with the operations team to resolve day to day customer issues, identifying growth opportunities, and performing analytics related to customer performance
· Source, analyze, perform due diligence and lead negotiations of business acquisition opportunities
· Identify, analyze, & recommend new business opportunities to generate additional revenue and maximize utilization of existing Energy Transfer assets
· Identify revenue opportunities for existing assets and generate business plans and/or capital projects to deliver revenue growth
· Perform economic evaluation for future projects
· Manage the growth process, including identification of new market opportunities, development of revenue projections and oversight of new customers
· Prepares project packages for management review
· Attain organic growth delivering on EBITDA objectives
· Manage all administrative functions relating to relationship between Energy Transfer and its’ Shippers
· Manage meetings with existing customers to explore opportunities for mutual growth
· Provide on-going communication to senior management on competitive information and relevant market changes
· Provide superior customer service by responding efficiently and in a timely manner
· Ability to positively interface with supporting departments (Scheduling, Operations, Control Center, Engineering, Legal, Accounting, Finance, Credit, and Human Resources)
· Collaborate with Operations teams to oversee the implementation of approved projects
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· BS degree in Finance/Business/Engineering or other related discipline
· 10- 12 years in US petroleum fuels business
· Overall understanding of the US Refined Products business including supply, trading, logistics and operation
· Management experience in the petroleum industry is a preference
· Ability to travel 25 - 50% of the time with overnight stays required
· Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends
· Proficiency in financial modeling of capital projects and acquisition targets
· Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Proven negotiation skills
· Demonstrated leadership capability Preferred Qualifications:
· MBA and/or other post-graduate education
