Business Development Director directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Director develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Additionally, Business Development Director collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     At Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital, we are passionate about patient care! We provide critical care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries and has earned The Joint Commission’s Respiratory Failure Certification. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. At our 40-bed hospital, we are a free-standing, long-term acute care hospital serving patients in communities throughout the Inland Northwest.

    We are seeking a Director of Marketing & Business Development to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • Current clinical license required (PT, OT, SLP, RN)
    • Minimum four years clinical experience preferred
    • Two years in clinical compliance role preferred

    Additional Qualifications/Skills:

    • Knowledge of and resource for Federal, State and the Joint Commission standards and hospital specific rules and regulations.
    • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
    • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
    • Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
    • Demonstrates critical thinking skills: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
    • Effective organizational and time management skills.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
    • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.

    Responsibilities

    Is the individual primarily responsible for the planning and execution of all marketing efforts including public relations, marketing, and sales to ensure full occupancy of the facility. Manages and directs the staff in the Marketing and Business Development Department. Provides administration with summaries and recommendations from market research evaluations. Coordinates the production and placement of advertisements. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
