Business Continuity Manager leads the implementation and supports the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Business Continuity Manager leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Business Continuity Manager supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Continuity Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Continuity Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Essential Functions

    • Deliver medium to small infrastructure projects on the Corvallis Campus
    • Oversees project implementation and execution through completion of construction, including programming, design, entitlements, bidding, permitting, and construction management.
    • Operates independently on activities relevant to project. Defers policy issues and employment related issues to higher management levels
    • Provide appropriate level of on-site supervision to ensure project performance criteria are being met
    • Oversees capital improvement/asset preservation programs with design and construction processes through local resources
    • Develop detailed project budgets (hard and soft costs) based on historical and market data and clearly defined budget assumptions
    • Assists in or may be responsible for project scheduling and project decisions based upon owners' objectives which may include, but is not limited to: site improvements, entitlements, permits, consultant selection; design team management, schedule creation and management, contractor selection and management, financial management including cash flows, anticipated cost reports and monthly reports.
    • Assists in or assembles and manages required teams of consultants and contractors. (Negotiates contracts with each team member; Interfaces with architects, client staff, property managers and vendors).
    • Develops relationships with consultants/contractors/vendors and evaluate their performance.
    • Upon award of a project, drive the development of project-specific and client driven goals, schedules, budget and detailed assumptions
    • Maintains client relationships and may assist in or manages conflict resolution.
    • Guide the client and team through the design implementation process including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documentation
    • Face to face and/or remote daily interpersonal interaction is usually required to perform the job.
    • Monitor and manage JLL's Project Management Technology (Adaptive Work) to ensure data integrity
    • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all PDS technology as required for assigned projects.
    • Comply with all JLL policies and procedures, including but not limited to, those governing ethics and business practice.

    Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA)

    • 3 years of practical experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Strong working knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings and furniture and space planning concepts
    • Experience in engineering, construction management or real estate preferred
    • Demonstrate understanding of all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to scope, schedule, budget and closeout
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact professionally with architects, contractors, client's representatives, and team members on behalf of client and directly with the client
    • Demonstrate understanding of project document control and handover
    • Organizational & detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business.
    • Seek opportunities to add value to process
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

    Other Abilities

    • Ability to multi-task working within a team structure and independently.
    • Assumes complete responsibility for assignments of moderate complexity, and continues to aggressively improve skill base.

    Minimum Required Education

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Accounting, or Business strongly preferred
