Summary

Children's Home Society of North Carolina is seeking an Staff Accountant for Budgeting, Grants & Compliance for our Compliance department. The position reports to the Director of Compliance and is located in Greensboro, NC and can be hybrid.  

Primary Job Functions

Duties

• Developing Grant/Contract Budgets
• Monthly monitoring of grant/contract budgets: budget vs. actual
• Monthly reconciliations to General Ledger
• Preparing monthly and annual financial reports for internal use and external funding sources
• Communicating with funding agencies with questions related to applications, submissions and compliance
• Review and monitoring of contracts for HIPAA and legal compliance
• Assisting with other projects such as the annual financial audit, A-133 audit and site visits
• Maintaining grant monitoring schedule including monthly update of new grants, payments received, reporting requirements and CFDA audit requirements

Schedule Expectations

This position is a salary exempt job that will require some weekends, and evenings work. Along with working our standard scheduled week. The ability to work flexible hours is required to meet business needs. If working remotely, will be required to be available by telephone and email during specified hours as required.
