Bricklaying Supervisor supervises and directs a crew and other personnel engaged in masonry installation projects. Coordinates the activities of workers engaged in laying brick, tile, cinderblock, and other materials to construct or repair structures. Being a Bricklaying Supervisor checks the quality of work performed and directs clean up of job site. Requires a thorough knowledge of all types, shapes, and brands of bricks, mortars, and patching materials, and how to reline the ladles, tundishes and the furnace. Additionally, Bricklaying Supervisor requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a melt shop general supervisor or maintenance general supervisor. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.     Job Description

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Six months of supervisory or commensurate leadership experience.
    • One-year experience in guest-focused business (retail, restaurant, hospitality, etc.).
    • Working knowledge of all theatre crew functions.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Suite.
    • Demonstrated ability to listen, communicate, and work effectively with guests, associates, and supervisors in a fast paced environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and consistently achieve results through resources.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Coordinate and coach theatre crew to perform the "essential functions" of their positions.
    • Reinforce "Wardrobe 101" policy with theatre crew.
    • Observe theatre crew performance and provide feedback to management for discipline and performance evaluations.
    • Optimize theatre crew placement on a round-by-round basis.
    • Lead teams and consistently achieve results through resources.
    • Supervise, coach and coordinate theatre crew to execute and comply with Safe and Clean protocols.
    • Perform daily operational and administrative duties as assigned.
    • Oversee opening and closing procedures outside of operating hours (minus vault management).
    • May begin opening procedures and/or finalize closing procedures.
    • Provide access to vendors for repairs and deliveries outside of operating hours.
    • Assist management with floor operations.
    • Assign registers / distribute banks (box, concession, guest service, and arcade).
    • Supply change, as needed.
    • Maintain and reconcile floor safes.
    • Pull and count cash, cash equivalents, and coupons from individual drawers and enter results into computer system.
    • Prepare deposits and banks.
    • Accurately complete appropriate cash handling forms; maintain and balance cash handling fund.
    • Perform daily opening, closing, operational, and administrative duties.
    • Assist in the preparation of the theatre crew schedule with final weekly document approval from a manager.
    • Participate in the daily inventory processes.
    • Open tickets for system support issues and follow-up for resolution.
    • Resolve guest questions, concerns, and issues.
    • Research guest issues related to AMC Stubs and credit card refund authorizations.
    • Distribute and reconcile passes.
    • Listen, communicate, and work effectively with guests, associates, and supervisors in a fast-paced environment.
    • Maintain regular personal attendance for all scheduled shifts to ensure timely performance of duties.
    • Uphold AMC's Business Practice Standards and ensure compliance with company programs.
    • Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
    • Perform other duties as directed by management.

    UNIFORM

    • Provided by Theatre: AMC-issued shirt, black pants, black belt, and nametag.
    • Provided by Associate: Black shoes, socks.

    Compensation Information

    AMC provides a compensation range for open positions where required. Factors that may be used to determine actual compensation may include, but are not limited to, specific skill-set, relevant experience or geographic location. The compensation range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets based on business needs.

    The compensation for this position is: $19.45 to $20.40 an hour

    Minimum Job Requirements
