Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
• Position patients for ultrasound scan using immobilization and protective equipment as needed.
• Evaluate ultrasound images for quality, exposure, and transmit to PACS.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to provide images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis.
• Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners during interventional ultrasound procedures.
• Use proper safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure patient and employee safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited School of Ultrasound Technology.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or registry eligible.
  • If registry eligible, must pass registry within two years of hire.
• Active BLS certification

Preferred Job Requirements

• One year of Ultrasound Tech experience
