Breast Center Manager manages the day-to-day operations of one or more mammography clinics. Responsibilities may include staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing for the clinic(s). Being a Breast Center Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Breast Center Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. About the Coalition and Program Manager Position:
• Serving a vast region across 27 counties in Central and Western New York, the Coalition provides outstanding education and support programs for those impacted by a breast or gynecologic cancer diagnosis at no charge. Our mission is to create community among those touched by breast or gynecologic cancer; to empower informed decision-making through education, support, and advocacy; and to advance research in our region with the goal of eradicating breast and gynecologic cancer.
• The Program Manager is at the heart of the organization! This leadership position focuses on serving diverse clients, developing evidence-based, patient-informed programs, and executing traditional offerings loved by participants. There is no limit to the potential for growth within our programs department.
The ideal candidate brings:
• Minimum BA/BS degree in a health-related field
• Exceptional communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) for working with clients, staff, program facilitators, volunteers, and community stakeholders
• Ability to plan and facilitate/moderate meetings with diverse groups of people, in both virtual and in-person settings
• Plan and coordinate events, including seminars, workshops, and training events
• Knowledge about breast/gynecologic cancer and survivorship issues
• Desire to participate in building the Coalition’s important partnerships by participating in donor and client events and community presentations
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned in support of the Coalition’s mission
• Experience in short and long-term project management
