Branch Review Specialist jobs in Washington

Branch Review Specialist conducts branch internal audits to determine whether business controls are sufficient and effectively executed in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Tests established procedures to ensure operational efficiency within branch offices. Being a Branch Review Specialist determines whether branches are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or business control activities in compliance with management instructions, policies, and procedures. Evaluates functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of systems to achieve established objectives. Additionally, Branch Review Specialist recommends corrective actions and improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Branch Review Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Review provider chart notes to ensure accurate coding prior to claims submission
    • Communicate with providers and team members to resolve questions and ensure accurate coding
    • Occasionally enter detailed line item transactions into cloud based software
    • Perform daily audits and analysis prior to claims submission
    • Assist with the submission of claim data to insurance carriers, both electronically and via paper
    • Process and audit medical records requests
    • Perform insurance verification of benefits, and initiate authorizations and referrals as needed

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

     

    • Minimum of one year working in medical billing, coding, or related healthcare position.  Coding or auditing experience in Dermatology, Orthopedics, OB GYN, or Cardiology preferred, but not required
    • Experience with AdvancedMD, Nextech, ModMed, or Athena a plus!
    • Strong computer skills, comfortable with new technology
