Branch Manager - Insurance jobs in Vermont

Branch Manager - Insurance manages the daily activities of the branch office, with duties such as insurance claim processing (home, auto, life, mortgage, etc.), marketing, auditing, loss prevention, and underwriting. Hires, trains, and monitors the performance of new insurance agents. Being a Branch Manager - Insurance provides updates to the regional manager regarding operating results, insurance trends, and competitor methods. May provide guidance on more complex issues. Additionally, Branch Manager - Insurance develops new business through selling and marketing activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the regional manager. The Branch Manager - Insurance typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     • Be provided with the training you need on an array of AAA products and services to interface with members with confidence and help you meet your individual and team cross-selling goals

    • Provide exceptional service to members in branch and over the phone regarding insurance policies, membership and insurance billing, and other services for members including passport photos, planning road trips, and cashiering duties.
    • Perform routine and advanced duties in support of agents and other team members
    • Develop insurance leads for office sales agents and life specialists

    Our branch hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM and Saturday 9:00AM-1:00PM. If scheduled to work on a Saturday, you will receive a 1/2 day off during the week. We are closed Sundays and most holidays.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Prior experience in insurance, retail sales, banking or similar customer service/sales environment
    • Advanced customer service skills
    • Ability to work overtime including Saturdays
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office basics
    • Proven ability to exceed assigned sales or service quality goals
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Adaptability to change and ability to meet deadlines

    Qualifications:

    High School diploma or GED

    Successful completion of background check and drug screening

    Ability to navigate Windows, Outlook, Word, and the Internet

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Experience in customer service environment helpful

    Ability to exceed assigned service quality goals
