Job Summary
Assists with reviewing and administering leave requests, including but not limited to medical illness, military leave and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests for eligibility and workers' compensation leaves. Provides technical assistance to the Leave Administration Coordinator. Tracks compliance and generates reports as requested. Assists with special projects as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Receives and responds to correspondence and phone calls related to employee requests for medical leave.
- Prepares communications and reports using desktop software.
- Ensures that all leave requests and processes are executed in accordance with established timelines.
- Directs individuals to the appropriate and proper resources.
- Seeks answers to questions and acts as a resource to requesters.
- Gathers information for and assists with the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Accommodation processes as needed.
- Develops and maintain reports; enters new and edits existing information in HRIS system, time and attendance system and leave administration databases as well as extracting information.
- Answers employee questions about policy and procedures and refers to subject matter experts as needed.
- Assists in projects as assigned, including HR events, benefits open enrollment, employee communications, and company-wide meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including filing and processing mail.
- May schedule/coordinate meetings, conferences, catering, special events, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in related field required upon hire
- A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience preferred
- No licensure/certification/registration required
