Ensures programs are equitable, meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective. Being a Benefits Manager develops benefits communications and counsels employees on benefits related issues. Evaluates existing benefits programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends and developments. Additionally, Benefits Manager requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). Typically reports to director. The Benefits Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Benefits Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Role:
Beam is looking for an experienced infrastructure leader to lead our talented Site Reliability Engineering team. This team's mandate is to write software to automate the operations of our Engineering organization and to own Service Level Objectives that lead to an increase in the structural quality of our software and the reliability of our applications. This role is crucial to the success of Beam's Engineering efforts.
What You Will Bring:
You’re an experienced player/coach who believes strongly in shared ownership of infrastructure and related tooling. You're just as comfortable digging in to solve problems as you are with mentoring others. You have worked closely with engineers to design, build, and support service-oriented architectures. You believe in spreading DevOps knowledge throughout the engineering organization, by focusing on building tools and processes that enable development teams to own their infrastructure and break down typical DevOps silos. You have a strong background in writing infrastructure as code, and a strong desire to automate processes.
