Automotive Mechanic jobs in Washington
Automotive Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles and light trucks. Performs major repairs like body work, chassis and engine repair, and disassembling and assembling components. Being an Automotive Mechanic also performs minor repairs and maintenance work such as replacing worn drive belts, hoses, and filters. Helps diagnose issues, uses electronic indicator systems to identify problems, and performs routine safety checks on brakes, suspension, exhaust, cooling, and other systems. Additionally, Automotive Mechanic adheres to appropriate safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Automotive Mechanic works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. George Gee Liberty Lake is a well-accredited automotive dealership, awarded with multiple awards, located in the greater Liberty Lake/Spokane area. We are actively seeking Automotive Technicians/Mechanics to join our Service Department. The Automotive Technicians/Mechanics assist with the more intricate and mechanically inclined tasks that need to be done and run diagnostics. The ideal candidate will be someone with previous experience servicing KIA or import vehicles and the ability to help mentor the newer technicians.
Automotive Technician/Mechanic Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose automotive problems as they arise.
- Conducting inspections, repairing engine failure, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and replacing parts.
- Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process.
- Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team.

Qualifications
Automotive Technician/Mechanic Qualifications
- 1-3 years of prior automotive experience
- 3 years if not Kia/Import-related experience.
- ASE Certified.
- Driver’s License.
- Personal Tools.
Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen, THC not screened for.
