Automotive Mechanic jobs in Maryland
Automotive Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles and light trucks. Performs major repairs like body work, chassis and engine repair, and disassembling and assembling components. Being an Automotive Mechanic also performs minor repairs and maintenance work such as replacing worn drive belts, hoses, and filters. Helps diagnose issues, uses electronic indicator systems to identify problems, and performs routine safety checks on brakes, suspension, exhaust, cooling, and other systems. Additionally, Automotive Mechanic adheres to appropriate safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Automotive Mechanic works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. - Must be a team player and able to work well in a team environment
- Valid Driver's License
- *ASE Certified preferred but not required
- *Licensed Maryland State Inspector preferred but not required.
- Higher compensation available for candidates that are licensed .
- Annual Pay Range from $52,000 to $100,000 based on experience. Salary plus flat rate!!
