    Essential Job Functions


    • Oversees the maintenance of the university's curriculum in various university information systems to maintain accuracy and consistency, including developing standards for processes in this area and providing training as necessary
    • Oversees and directs the auditing of students' academic records to monitor that students are taking the appropriate classes that will lead to degree completion; oversees conferral of student degrees
    • Provides strategic direction on the configuration of the academic curriculum and degree audit systems, combining the needs of the students and advisors with the functional capabilities of the systems
    • Manages and directs all aspects of student record maintenance regarding student change of status
    • Supervises the curriculum in report databases and processes reports of any discrepancies and communicates these discrepancies and maintains accuracy
    • Stays abreast of software upgrades and researches alternative solutions for the curriculum management systems, as well as works with IT to implement new software and system updates as necessary; serves in an advisory role with software vendors
    • Oversees and assists in maintaining documentation on the use of and reporting from the university's student academic services' curriculum systems
    • Advises faculty college and department chairs on the process and requirements for new curriculum development; assists in reviewing curriculum proposals and provides feedback
    • Organizes regular universitywide department curriculum meetings to assess the accuracy, deliverability and completeness of curriculum proposals and communicates new curriculum and curriculum changes as necessary
    • Assists with departmental budget
    • Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
    • Performs other duties as assigned


    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
    • Moderate amount of experience working in higher education academic services or other related experience


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, business technology, or a related field of study
    • Knowledge of the following software systems: Ellucian Banner, Perceptive Document Imaging, and DegreeWorks-Curriculum Management System
