Associate Pastor assists the pastor in religious services and managing daily operations of an organization. Leads and implements outreach and educational programs and events that will maintain and grow membership. Being an Associate Pastor provides clerical support such as researching, selecting, and documenting passages or prayers to assist the pastor in planning and leading worship. Assists with administrative duties including managing calendars and schedules, preparing materials or educational documents, and communicating with volunteers. Additionally, Associate Pastor performs religious services and leads prayer. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a pastor. The Associate Pastor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. - Helps equip the church family by partnering in ministering to families, young adults, youth and children.
- Supports the Senior Pastor regarding preaching, pastoral care, and the overall spiritual health of the Congregation.
- Supports the mission of the church to make disciples of Jesus Christ
- Encourages multigenerational relationships.
- Acts in the absence of the Senior Pastor when asked.
- Supports the Senior Pastor and leadership team in realizing God’s plan for Living Hope Community Church.
