Description
Plans and carries out various student recruitment activities in support of the Graduate Admissions department. In addition, the incumbent has full responsibility over a complex admission project and/or program. Duties include counseling students regarding university programs, policies, procedures, and services; attends recruitment activities to promote the institutions programs. Reports to the Associate Vice President of New Student Enrollment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
Develops recruitment strategies for targeted area; recruits prospective students by arranging and
visiting corporate offices, attending college fairs; facilitates University campus visits; assists with
recruitment mailings and other organizations that support Graduate Recruitment Activities.
Counsels' Adult, Bachelor & Masters Awarded students for participation in Masters and Doctoral
programs.
Gives admissions and financial aid information in person or by telephone to prospective students,
parents, school counselors, and the public at large.
Counsels' students, and the public regarding admission policies and procedures.
Conducts follow-up contacts with prospective students; assists students with questions regarding
admissions policies, procedures, and University programs.
Recruits prospective students by attending professional functions sponsored by corporate partnerships,
national recruitment fairs, and other organizations.
Assists with student recruitment events such as information sessions and student fairs.
Evaluates prospective students' academic profile for admission into the University.
Prepares and delivers speeches for prospective students.
Stays abreast of university programs, policies, and procedures.
