Assoc. Professor - Music teaches courses in the discipline area of music. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Music provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Music typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher who can teach voice and piano. You will be responsible for providing high-quality music education to students of all ages. This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire and nurture the musical talents of individuals in a supportive and creative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement music lesson plans based on individual student needs and goals
- Teach students various music concepts, techniques, and skills
- Provide instruction in PIANO AND VOICE
- Teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training
- Guide students in selecting appropriate repertoire for performances
- Conduct individual and group music lessons
- Organize and coordinate student recitals and performances
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and goals
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience teaching music to students of all ages
- Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and various musical genres
- Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments
- Familiarity with special education techniques is a plus
- Experience working with children in early childhood education settings is desirable
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
