POSITION SUMMARY
The Department of History at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in History beginning August 1, 2024. The focus of the position is the history of the United States, but with a subspecialty in East Asian studies. The area of research interest is open. Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include teaching four classes per semester, both surveys and more focused upper-division classes. Additional responsibilities include engagement in and service to the department, college, and community. Such engagement or service to the college would typically include full participation in faculty events and engagement in faculty responsibilities. The successful candidate will maintain a strong research agenda and broad teaching interests.
