Job Description:
The Assistant Preschool Director will assist the Preschool Director in managing the daily operations of our preschool. This role involves overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with educational standards, and maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment for children. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive educational experience.
Duties:
- Assist the Preschool Director in the overall management and supervision of the preschool program.
- Help develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Support the recruitment, training, and evaluation of preschool staff.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to foster a positive community.
- Assist in organizing events, parent-teacher conferences, and staff meetings.
- Address and resolve conflicts or issues that arise within the preschool.
- Monitor classroom environments to ensure they are safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
- Lead and mentor staff members to foster a positive work environment.
- Step in as needed to teach or assist in classrooms.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of state licensing requirements and accreditation processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies and stressful situations calmly and effectively.
