Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) conducts residential real estate appraisals to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting on-site property inspections, data collection, and research relevant market conditions required to perform valuations. Being an Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Additionally, Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Key Responsibilities- Conduct a variety of formal appraisals for lending and non-lending purposes.
- Utilize the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice to establish current market values.
- Perform on-site visits, property inspections, and client interviews.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, lenders, and homeowners.
- Certification in the state of residence.
- Strong analytical and research skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Dedication to producing high-quality reports within industry turn times.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
