Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) conducts residential real estate appraisals to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting on-site property inspections, data collection, and research relevant market conditions required to perform valuations. Being an Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Additionally, Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Responsibilities:

    • Prospect and Lead Generation:Engage in prospecting and lead generation through in-person meetings, phone calls, digital media, open houses, and more.
    • Determine clients’ needs and financial abilities to propose solutions that suit them.
    • Intermediate negotiation processes, consult clients on market conditions, prices, mortgages, legal requirements, and related matters to ensure fair and honest dealings.
    • Perform comparative market analysis to estimate properties’ value.
    • Display and market real property to potential buyers.
    • Prepare necessary paperwork, including contracts, leases, deeds, and closing statements.
    • Cooperate with appraisers, escrow companies, lenders, and home inspectors.
    • Develop networks and collaborate with attorneys, mortgage lenders, and contractors.
    • Promote sales through advertisements, open houses, and listing services.
    • Remain knowledgeable about real estate markets and best practices.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Must hold a valid real estate license in at least one jurisdiction in the DC Metro area (DC, MD and/or VA) with plans to obtain a license in all three.
    • Demonstrated success in real estate sales and a deep understanding of the local market and real estate ethics.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Comfortable using real estate technology and marketing tools to enhance client experiences.
