Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) conducts residential real estate appraisals to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting on-site property inspections, data collection, and research relevant market conditions required to perform valuations. Being an Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Additionally, Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Responsibilities- Conduct thorough property inspections to gather essential information.
- Collect and analyze data on comparable properties, market trends, and economic factors.
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information System) technology for property analysis.
- Perform financial analysis to determine property values and potential income generation.
- Prepare detailed appraisal reports adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal regulations concerning real estate appraisals.
- Collaborate with clients, lenders, and stakeholders to address questions or concerns.
- Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings, if necessary.
- Proven experience as a Real Estate Appraiser.
- Strong grasp of real estate appraisal principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) program guidelines is advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and report writing for accurate valuation assessments.
- Excellent mathematical skills for data analysis and calculations.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Capability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to convey appraisal findings to clients.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Expected Hours: 10 - 50 per week
