APPRAISAL MANAGER jobs in South Carolina

APPRAISAL TECHNICIAN (Assessor’s Office): Responsible for field inspection of real property to ensure the accuracy of the information on the computer data base (CAMA System). Duties include: obtaining, organizing, distributing and filing of building permits received from Beaufort County and Municipalities throughout Beaufort County: exterior and interior physical inspection of properties to determine quality, condition, and other characteristics, field measuring and drawing residential and commercial structures from building plans, calculating building sizes, completing inspection forms for entry into the CAMA system, computerization of collected data and drawings, preparing files and tax maps for field review, onsite interviewing of property owners and tenants for gathering of real estate physical characteristics, area data; preparing reports for entry into the CAMA system.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma or equivalent, two (2) years of college preferred
* Supplemented with training in identifying property data characteristics and measuring, closing and drawing structures.
* Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word/Excel)
* Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required
* Excellent customer services skills
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Supplemental Information

All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
