The City of Shoreline is seeking a talented and collaborative IT professional to become its Information Technology Supervisor for Applications. The successful candidate will bring solid IT experience managing all aspects of application management and support and look forward to leading and mentoring a team of 5 professional staff and collaborating with staff throughout the organization. This working supervisor partners with staff to ensure the smooth implementation and operation of many of the City’s Enterprise Applications. Current portfolio includes Central Square Finance Enterprise, Cityworks, Project Mates, ESRI Enterprise GIS, and niche line of business applications. Some exciting projects anticipated in the near future include: SQl server upgrade (in progress), phase two Financial system upgrade and enhancements, and an overhaul of the City’s reporting environment,. This position reports to the City’s IT Manager, as part of the Administrative Services Department, and is a key member of the Departments Leadership Team.
DEFINITION
The IT Supervisor leads and oversees the work of highly skilled technical IT staff to support part or all of the City’s application portfolio or technical infrastructure. to oversee and maintain, administer and support major software and database systems and highly complex computer and web applications; provide project management, customer service and business analyst support; to plan, develop, and coordinate data processing systems to meet the needs of the organization; to diagnose system failures between hardware, systems software and application programs; to develop, implement and oversee database and application security; and to provide the City with a platform for data analysis and reporting. They are responsible for hiring, mentoring, coaching, performance evaluations and discipline for assigned staff.
