Ambulance Driver jobs in New Jersey

Philips Ambulance is looking for new and experienced EMT's to join our team. Our office is located at 625 Central Ave, Newark NJ, but this position would be reporting to a satellite location in Edison.

Responsibilities

• Performs a visual inspection of the patient compartment, inside and out, and for cleanliness and damage.
• Cleans and maintains patient compartment, equipment, and outside of vehicle as needed.
• Replaces damaged or missing items, noting deficiencies on Usage Report.
• Ensures that the ambulance is at all times in compliance with applicable NJ Department of Health Regulations.
• Directs his/her partner with regard to assistance with patient care and handling, use of emergency warning devices, speed and special driving conditions particular to patient needs.
• Responds to all calls as directed by the dispatcher in a professional manner and in the time frame assigned.
• Treats all patients in accordance with NJ Basic Life Support Protocols.
• Secures patient information and records from facility staff.
• Transports all patients in a safe and professional manner.
• Observes all patient rights with regard to courteous conduct, behavior and appropriate communication.
• Properly completes company paperwork and obtains all necessary signatures for billing purposes before end of shift.
• Maintains professional conduct and courteous interaction with all medical facility staff, fellow co-workers, and provides conscientious customer service.
• Must wear company uniforms as mandated in company uniform policy.
• Complies with all Federal State Laws, ordinances, and regulations.
• Performs all duties as required by law and company policy

Qualifications

• Valid EMT certification with ability to practice in the state of NJ
• Current CPR certification for healthcare providers
• Acceptable driver's abstract for driver positions
• All candidates will be subjected to testing requirements for Modivcare.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
