Adult Day Care Director creates and directs programs that address the health, psychosocial, and educational needs of older individuals and their caregivers and that provide clients a safe, secure, and positive daily experience. Responsible for recruiting, training, and retention of qualified staff. Being an Adult Day Care Director manages the financial operations for the center including billing, reimbursements, and budgets. Performs assessments of prospective clients to determine if programs will meet their needs. Additionally, Adult Day Care Director coordinates with caregivers, families, social services agencies, and medical professionals to plan clients program of care. Monitors programs to ensure effectiveness, quality care, compliance with applicable regulations and standards, and to identify areas for improvement or expanded program offerings. May be a RN with experience in gerontology. Requires a bachelor's degree of social science or a directly related field. Typically reports to top management. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Center Director to oversee the operations of our childcare center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare and possess strong leadership skills to ensure the center's success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the childcare center
- Develop and implement educational programs that align with childhood development standards
- Have thorough knowledge of Mission Statement, Vision, Purpose, and Goals of organization. Ensure that work objectives reflect said statements.
- Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care and education
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or issues
- Monitor and ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards
- Handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and record-keeping
-Interact frequently with staff, children, and parents to foster communication and establish good working relationships.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in childcare, classroom management, or caregiving
- Strong skills in behavior management and working with children
- Knowledge of childhood development
- Ability to educate and guide staff on best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership abilities in a childcare setting
-Director certificate for up to 100 children or able to obtain by meeting the below requirements:
Option 1:
(A) Twelve Semester hours of academic study or equivalent training in child development
(B) Six months' teaching experience in licensed centers or preschools
Option 2: A child development associate credential and one year of teaching experience in licensed centers/preschools
Option 3:
(A) An associate of arts degree or a two-year certificate in child development
(B) One year of teaching experience in licensed centers/preschools
Option 4:
(A) An A.B. or B.s. degree in child development or early childhood education
(B) three months' teaching experience in licensed centers or preschools
Option 5:
(A) An A.B. or B.s. degree in a related academic discipline, and 12 hours of academic study in child development
(B) six months teaching experience in licensed centers/preschools
