Primary Duties:
A registrar will serve as a receptionist, information gatherer, insurance specialist, public relations, and collector.
Employ proper search criteria to obtain accurate Medical Record information per departmental guidelines. Ensure that all patients are entered accurately, thoroughly and in a timely manner on the computer. Bedside registration.
Verify insurance eligibility either by INVISION HDX software, telephone, or internet websites.
Request, collect, document, and communicate payment requirements for co-pays and deductibles through US Bank.
Inform patients of their payment options including payment plans, financial assistance programs and compassionate care programs.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
1-2 years' experience working in a healthcare environment.
