Addiction Mental Health Assessor jobs in Hawaii

Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Experience with children/adolescents is highly valued.

    Clinicians can have onsite or hybrid scheduling but must live on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

    Compensation:

    The salary range for this position is $64,300 to $114,300 per year. The role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on performance. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, licensure/certifications, scheduled clinical hours, etc.

    Requirements:

    • Independent therapist license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT
    • Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred
    • Independent Mental Health License in Hawaii
    • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families
    • Solid computer and basic technology skills
    • Demonstrated a history of professional growth and development
    • Self-motivated and independent clinicians able to quickly build rapport with clients

    • Competent with a wide range of clinical presentations
    • Experience with children or adolescents
    • Experience with couples or family counseling
    • Experience with clinical therapy
