The Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for two postdoctoral positions. One is in the CHARGE UP Clinical High Risk for Psychosis coordinated specialty care (CSC) treatment program and the other is in the POWER Early Bipolar Disorders CSC treatment program. Our postdoctoral fellowship programs are designed to promote clinical skill development toward independent licensure in a setting that values socially and culturally responsive practice in training and clinical care.
The successful candidate will become part of a multi-disciplinary CSC program that provides assessment and intervention to individuals who are 12 years old and older, who are at clinical high risk for psychosis or with recent onset bipolar disorders. The programs are led by Daniel Allen, Ph.D. and aims to identify, assess, and treat individuals in order to (1) delay and mitigate the deleterious clinical and social outcomes associated with the disorders and (2) reduce the societal and economic burdens produced by lengthy duration of untreated illness. Individuals seen in the programs often have additional presenting concerns, including anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and substance use disorders. The postdoctoral fellows will provide evidence-based assessment and intervention services to program clients, help coordinate outreach and referral activities, provide supervision to CSC trainees, and complete other related responsibilities.
