Job Title: Accounts Receivable Manager

Reports To: Controller

Summary:

This standard procedure defines the authority, responsibilities, duties, and standards of performance of the Accounts Receivable Manager at Beachside Roofing, LLC (BSR). The Accounts Receivable Manager is to manage all areas of billing, credit, collections, and accounts receivable. Maintain cash flow through timely billings and aggressive collection action.

Required education and experience:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in any business major

·        A minimum of five years of experience as an accounts receivable manager in a construction environment

·        Must obtain Notary Public State certification

Prefer education and experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting

·        Seven years of experience in Accounts Receivable

Essential functions:

·        Prepare billings, as submitted in Sage 100 Contractor, by the Project Manager, to customers within two days.

·        Develop an in-depth process to successfully create an accepted credit and collections policy.

·        Ensure that all collection efforts are fully documented on notes in Sage 100 Contractor and follow-up is done promptly.

·        Institute the process to ensure the collection of overdue accounts including all interest charges and/or legal expenses incurred.

·        Reconcile cash receipts to A/R balances promptly.

·        Prepare cash flow projection daily, in coordination with the Controller.

·        Maintain billing forms including tax clearances, union release, and lien release forms.

Competency (Knowledge, skills, and abilities):

Must be able to manage and work extremely well with people, demonstrate excellent ability to be detailed and analytical, work well in a team environment, exhibit good communication and computer skills, and have an understanding and knowledge of billing, credit, collections, and accounts receivable management.

Standards of Performance:

·        Live and support the Core Values and Vision in all endeavors.

·        Compliance with Company Policies and Procedures, and the Rules of Conduct as described in the Company Policy Manual.

·        Monthly reduction in the Accounts Receivable Aging outstanding balances

·        Proper recording of OCIP and CCIP.

·        All required reports, produced on time and accurately.

·        Average daily sales in accounts receivable should not exceed 75 days.

·        Delinquencies and bad debt write-offs are at a minimum and well within the budgeted limitations.

·        Conduct meetings as needed throughout the year to assist in the smooth flow of credit and collection activities.

·        None

·        Office environment.

·        Prolonged periods of sitting

·        Prolonged periods of viewing a computer monitor

·        prolonged periods of typing on a keyboard

Travel:

·        No travel is required.

·        Must have reliable transportation to commute to the office.
