Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk jobs in Alabama

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join the team of a growing manufacturer in Dothan, AL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and be proficient in accounts payable processes. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and accuracy are key. Pay will start at $19.00 per hour and will work a Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm schedule.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely
- Review and verify invoices and check requests
- Prepare and perform check runs
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in accounting software
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, and accounts payable processes
