Accounting Manager manages multiple accounting functions and operations such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, asset, cost, and tax accounting. Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards. Being an Accounting Manager oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting. Evaluates accounting processes and systems and implements optimizations. Additionally, Accounting Manager develops and directs accounting professionals and support staff. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Job Duties:
Review activity reports and performance data to measure productivity and opportunities for improvement. With input from the company owners/executives, develop and implement standard operational processes for office staff. Assist ownership in negotiating and closing agreements with new customers and vendors. Direct administrative staff regarding necessary appointments and follow-ups, data entry issues, and other day-to-day administrative tasks. Prepare staff work schedules. Train employees based on protocols and procedures established by company owners/executives. Assist company owners/executives with accounts payable weekly reports. Perform cost-benefit analysis for new equipment, technology and supplies and make recommendations to ownership regarding purchases of equipment, technology and supplies. Serve as liaison between company owners/executives and office staff. Serve as escalation point of contact for clients and vendors.
